A Children’s Story

Once upon a time, there were three little Elves. Each Elf had a funny name that fit them perfectly. Miss Cookie was in charge of the kitchen and all the meals. Veggie was in charge of the vegetable garden, he did all the planting and watering and eventually the harvesting of all the vegetables. And then there was Bossy, who ran the whole show. If anyone needed to know something they went directly to Bossy. They would say, “Hey Bossy, or Hey Boss!” Bossy would always know how to solve the problem. …

A Story of Today

It has become too difficult for me to comprehend what motivates people these days. I refuse to be a part of the nonsense that governs the many who prefer to be on a side, whether for good or bad. I often wonder if they even know the truth or would go along with their position if they truly understood what the future consequences of their directives would create?

My plan is to carve my own path through the jungle in the biggest city in the world, New York. …

A Poetic Story

I opened a book to read
It filled my heart my mind
I read and read throughout the night
Until my eyes blurred blind
The words designed to set a stage
For what I’ll soon behold
The character who played the lead
Was getting on in age
The story starts from when a youth
Till now as he grows old
A crime occurred
The neighbor heard
What sounded like a shot
The police arrived to find some blood
Upon the teeter tot
Though not a corpse was on the spot
We find our lead
Did the bad deed
The corpse was at his factory
A cold and empty dirty place
Reminders of his history
The crime was…

A Poem Remembering a Friend

We’ve lost a friend from this day forth
Through life she wore the sacred cloth
That brought her close to he well known
Who sits upon the highest thrown
Our dearest Martha is worthy to be named
As she now reaches life’s end game
So many loved ones will recall her days
In a kind and loving favorable way
The way she danced and told a joke
Made you laugh and feel like folk
That was her way throughout her time
She loved the way I rhymed a line
Tomorrow when the light of day
No longer has this soul to pay
The church bells will not chime the…

A Poem of Life

How long shall we live to be
To watch the trees and the rolling sea
How long shall we walk the ways
To feel the sun on a summer’s day
How long shall we watch on high
The moon the stars that light the sky
How long shall we see our children grow
To learn and teach what we now know
How long will the days still come
As now we take them one by one
For life has not a proposed time frame
Nor should be played as a waiting game
Life has its work its sorrow it’s fun
And shares it fairly with everyone
We’ve never known the…

A Life-Changing Poem

How much is enough
How much stuff do we need
These things that we cling to
Can it be that its greed
We throw it in piles as high we can reach
What does this way we live teach
We don’t have the room
We need the space that it takes
Get out the old broom
And end the heartaches
Small boxes not labeled
To the brim they are filled
With half-hearted memories
That brings back a chill
Throw it all out before
You can’t walk through your door
You don’t need all that stuff anymore
At first it is rough
At first you regret
Then soon it gets easy
You start to forget
The weight…

A Poem of Love

I could use numbers to count the ways
I could remind you of those wonderful days
I could use fancy words that rhyme
Though I’ve said all of that so many times
I could get on my knees
I could say pretty please
I could play loving games and more
Why do I love thee you ask once again
I confessed that I do since we met back when
I confessed you were mine to cherish and love
I confessed you were sent from heaven above
Why do I love thee how can you ask
When all through the years you have put me to task
When no matter…
