A Love Affair
We wanted just to be alone
We wanted love and love alone
We wanted not again to roam
We wantedWe promised never to forget
We promised if only heaven let
We promised time would not regret
We promisedWe loved as much as two can care
We loved and pledged our hearts a pair
We loved as only two may dare
We lovedA promise mends all that we fear
