A Wall of Moss

A poem of Life

A wall of moss
A hanging cross
Reminders of the past
The cross put there
For all to bear
The wall are stones long cast
Those were the days long back when
When men knew who they were
If asked to fight
They took the plight
Not one would be unsure
Today's new views just see a wall
The cross still stands it will not fall
The ones that fought and passed away
Cement the bricks back in their day
They never asked or wanted more
Often driven to their core
A faithful course of proven skill
Took strength and hope and will.
