A Small Town Living In Fear
Global warming is a critical issue facing our planet today. The upper atmosphere has a layer of gases that surrounds our planet, and it is essential for supporting life as we know it. However, the atmosphere is also vulnerable to damage from human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation.
One of the most significant problems with our atmosphere is the increase in greenhouse gas concentrations. Greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to global warming and climate change. This can have severe consequences such as more frequent and severe weather events, rising sea levels, and changes in ecosystems.
Many thousands of years ago a now quiet volcano erupted creating a desert-like area that could never grow any trees or vegetation. Two hundred years ago a few brave souls decided to start a town right in the middle of this disaster area. They wanted to study the past history of the site and find out what caused the eruption thousands of years ago. The town was appropriately named Atmosfear.
Atmosfear was a city like no other. Located on the edge of a vast desert, surrounded by mountains that seemed to stretch up to the sky. The city was built upon a great plateau, with small buildings and a few local stores. The air was thick with smog, and the streets were often empty of people and vehicles.
