A Children’s Poem
They say “It’s Easy-Peasy”
When suggesting what you do
That something that is new to you
That you don’t want to do
Your Mom says “Look I’ll do it’’
Then she makes a funny face
Cause she doesn’t like it either
It must be the bad taste
You try so hard to make her feel
She’s doing her very best
But why must she feed you all those things
So green and such a mess
There are so many other things
If she’d listen you’d suggest
Instead of every meal
Dreaming up another test
You can never ask for candy
It’s too sweet and ruins your teeth
You know you can’t have soda pop
The sugar gives you the creeps
So take a chance just this once
Open up “Here comes the plane!”
You’ll make your Mom so happy
She won’t flip out and go insane
As you do this once recite inside
“It’s Easy-Peasy and it’s good!”
Cause you know to grow up big and strong
It’s something that you should
It only takes a moment’s time
You’re done and off to play
Remembering it’s Easy-Peasy
As you grow bigger every day.
