A Poem of Love and Friendship
We dwell upon the thoughts that we recall from yesterday
Images from the past we have molded into clay
No expression or remorse
The course we set had many places we could evolve
We were the best of friends with constant mysteries we solved
We dreamt of romance through roads that bent
We hoped more than once it would last until our very end
We were as stars within the sky that sparkled bright
With every beat within our hearts that shed the brightest light
Reaching out we filled our life’s important part
With memories we carry in our own familiar cart
There is more to friendship than a kiss and clutch
True friendship is measured when you keep in touch
And hold on through when others fall away
As we are sworn to stay close friends until our dying day.
