These words I write are just for you
For love is how my heart beats true
You are my life my dream come true
When I think within it’s just of you

What else may life bring me this morn
The crack of light that wakes the dawn
My dreams that were of you last night
Have fled my bed as birds in flight

I pray the night comes soon so I
May hold you close here by my side
Together in my constant dream
A picture painted loving scene

Please he who makes things right in life
Keep close my ever-loving wife
To build and share our destiny
To keep her close and safe with me.
