Member-only story
A reprise of a friend’s poem
Let me show you something grand
Reflections I have found for you
They are the poet’s grain of sand
And on that leaf a drop of dew
There in the tree that lies beyond
Gaping birds’ mouths opened wide
Among those things of which I’m fond
The sunrise on the ocean tide
I cannot give you limousines
Or diamond necklaces aglare
I am a man of modest means
With just my images to share.
