A poem about shopping

Photo by Charles Gao on Unsplash

This week’s shopping list is filled with more than I
Can ever think to use so why
Do I invest in all these pricey goods
There must have been a time I thought I should
I do want to prepare some recipes
Still it takes much less than all of these
So why do I take two or three
Is it because it’s cheaper for me
Tomorrow I will review once more
And throw away some things I’ve stored
Or will it be too big a chore
For now I’ll just close my pantry door.
