Nightmares and Dreams

A poem about life

You can’t get rid of old memories
They’re just like a bad cold
when you can’t stop the sneeze
They’re just like the Fall
when the leaves start to turn
They’re just like fire
as you watch the wood burn
You can’t put old memories to sleep with a scream
If you could
They would just turn into nightmares and dreams.
