Peas In a Pod

A poem of lifelong friendship

Time and space have kept us close
Closer I would say than most
Being there when moments seemed
Good or when we shared bad scenes
Always Johnny on the spot
Never a forget-me-not
We were born to be best friends
We knew down deep we would never end
No matter how much space or time
Together we are in our prime
Swaying with the soft sound of chimes
Remembering our favorite rhymes
We are as tight today as when we were teens
Running to catch up to dreams
Never looking back cause we
We’re always closer than a pod of peas.
