A New Year’s resolution poem

Portion control is the only way
Eat half of what you are served each day
Your body can live on so much less
Don’t just guess or leave it to fate
Take charge your control before it’s too late
Each pound you gain
Remains and questions your brain
That knows you are a star
That sees you as you are
It’s so much easier to put on weight
Then to take it off for goodness’ sake
This lack of control
Takes too great a toll
For every roll you see
So my friend be wise be cool
Treat your body like a sparkling jewel
Wear it every day with pride
Promise this time you won’t have to hide
Make your resolution for this coming new year
That you will be filled with joy and cheer
And when you do I promise you will
Have a whole new look and a body to kill.
