It’s hot today
Hotter than it was just yesterday
Cooler than tomorrow I here
A scorcher is coming “Oh dear!”
Hey it’s Summer!
That’s the way the temperature goes
Hot today and tomorrow who knows
Cooler in the evening when you walk off that meal
Watching the stars through the clouds so surreal
Summer gets hot that’s the way it should be
So why do we complain as if it’s a catastrophe
Before we know it as it has through the years
The heat goes away and Fall reappears
The trees change their colors
As the leaves start to fall
And the cool of the evening brings chills to us all
So why not enjoy the Summer as is
Go down to the beach and bring a Gin Fizz
Swim in the water with a friend or a mate
Stay out on the weekend no matter how late
Enjoy as our world spins closer to the sun
Because before we all know it
It’s the end of Summer’s fun.
