A Trial of Life
I seek a new horizon
So far away it seems
I’ll keep on going towards it
I see it in my dreams
The road ahead has stumbles
What road is not this way
I’ll travel with my head up
As I count the coming days
The force that drives me forward
Is like no other now
My legs and arms are tired
I begin to question how
Can I reach this new horizon
Can I find that place I seek
Can I just please heaven up there
Give me a little peek
If I shall fail this journey
If I shall lose this time
I’ll hang my head in sorrow
Then write it in a rhyme.
