A poem about caring

There’s a place for everyone
We just have to care
There’s a place to call your home
Free from despair
When you need a place to hang your hat
Keep your eyes wide open and you’ll find where it’s at
We’ve seen so many times when people say no
To the average man on the street the average Joe
Why can’t we understand there’s more we must do
To take the fight to the streets for every me and you
So when you see a soul who’s down on their luck
Give a helping hand don’t just throw them a buck
See to it they will sleep in a place that is warm
Every one of us has that right when we’re born
When we all see our way to be gentle and kind
Then we will know for sure what G-d had in mind
We must forever be a close family
If we intend to see a world of continuity
I will be reaching out to all with a plea
Please if you see me coming, save a place for me.
