A poem about the things we buy

Everything seems kind of funny
You wonder if you get the most for your money
The day that the warranty runs out
Those things seem to find a way to always conk out
You must go searching again at the store
And buy that same thing once more
Which begins the same trend to no end
Buying things over and over again
So you complain to deaf ears
Almost bringing yourself to frustrating tears
Asking the much too-young store clerk
Who just started last week there to work
“Is there a better device that will solve my job
Your shelf is filled with a mob of stuff?”
He says, “It’s rough, but what choice do you have?”
As in so many times before you just buy another
Tell the story to your friends and brother
Who all agree they’ve been there before
And just like you they go back to that same old store.
